Tooth set, the alternate protrusion of the teeth
to the left and right beyond the level of the band body, is
the means by which free-cutting action of the bandsaw blade
is achieved. |

Raker Set (SD)
Standard tooth set can be universally used for cutting
thicknesses of more than 5 mm (3/16”) with steel, castings
and hard nonferrous metals. With constant tooth pitches, the
set sequence is left/right/straight.
With variable tooth pitches, one tooth is unset
per toothing interval. The remaining teeth in the interval
are recurrently set left/right.

Group set (GS)
For bandsaws in the tooth pitch range of 4-18 tpi, improved
surface quality is obtained with the group tooth set. |

Right-left set (RL)
With materials easy to machine, such as non-ferrous metals,
plastics and wood, a right/left tooth set is especially effective.

Wavy set (WS)
For sheet metal, thin-walled pipes and profiles with material
dimensions up to 5 mm (3/16"), we recommend the wavy tooth set. |
